About the Role
As a Principal Laser Diode Engineer, you will provide technical expertise on III-V laser diode designs, define performance specifications, support failure analysis, and work closely with product design teams and suppliers to ensure reliability and quality of laser components.
About You
Required:
- PhD in Photonics, Semiconductors, Optics or related laser technology.
- At least 10 years of industry experience with designing semiconductor lasers.
- Experience in design, fabrication, testing, and productization of semiconductor lasers.
- Knowledge of laser qualification tests and reliability testing methodologies.
- Experience with failure mode signatures and resolution strategies.
Preferred:
- Experience in high-power lasers and transmitters.
- Familiarity with analytic tools like ReliaSoft Weibull++/ALTA, JMP.
- Strong communication skills with vendors and customers.
