About the Role
As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, implement Lean principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing machining and assembly methods, participating in product launch activities, and providing technical support to suppliers. You will also manage project documentation and risks, conduct technical reviews, and train shop employees on new methods and equipment.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or a PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
Preferred:
Experience using risk management tools such as PFMEAs.
7+ years of hands-on technical experience in a machining environment.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers certification as a Certified Manufacturing Engineer.
Formal training in Project Management and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
