Summary
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Principal Product Development Engineer to join their team in Danvers, MA. The role focuses on developing innovative medical devices for cardiovascular treatments.
About the Role
As a Principal Product Development Engineer, you will conduct customer research to transform clinical observations into new device concepts, design and prototype components, conduct feasibility testing, and lead root cause analysis activities. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
About You
Required:
- BS in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
- 6 years experience in class II/III medical device product development with a deep understanding of design control and risk management processes
- Strong experience in 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and GD&T, with the ability to model complex parts and assemblies
- Hands-on experience in testing within a laboratory environment, prototyping, and pilot manufacturing
Preferred:
- Experience with electromechanical systems and components, fiber optics, sensors, motors, PCBs, signal processing, and IEC 60601
