About the Role
As a Principal Program Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for driving improvements in labor performance, process mapping, capacity planning, and project management. You will create factory models, analyze manufacturing system performance, apply Lean and Six Sigma principles, and support program contract proposals. The position may require occasional travel not exceeding 30% of the standard work schedule.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar engineering discipline with typically 8 years of relevant work experience or 6 years with a master's degree.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
Preferred:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in factory layout and work cell design/optimization.
- Experience in simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in CAD software.
- Six Sigma certifications.
- Ability to lead teams and influence without authority.
