Summary
F5 is seeking a Principal Release Engineer Complex Transformation to lead and orchestrate end-to-end release management and environment strategy across large-scale, multi-platform enterprise transformation programs.
About the Role
As a Principal Release Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the release lifecycle, developing release calendars, executing cutover plans, and coordinating with various platform teams and stakeholders. You will also design environment strategies, manage dependencies, and establish governance frameworks to ensure seamless releases across platforms like Salesforce, Oracle EBS, and Azure.
About You
Required:
- 15+ years of experience in IT with at least 10+ years in Release Management or Environment Management.
- 8+ years of experience managing releases in complex, multi-platform enterprise transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience with 3 or more platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle EBS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Deep understanding of cutover planning and execution for large-scale go-lives.
- Strong experience in designing and managing environmental strategies across heterogeneous technology landscapes.
- Proven track record of coordinating with SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure teams.
- Hands-on experience with release management and ITSM tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Preferred:
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Agilist certification.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification.
- Experience with ERP transformation programs.
- Familiarity with database refresh strategies for Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience implementing release orchestration tools.
