Summary
The Hartford is seeking a Principal Reliability Engineering/SRE to join their Corporate / HIMCO IT team. The role involves driving Reliability Engineering for multiple applications and implementing Gen AI and AI platform capabilities.
About the Role
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining cloud automation capabilities, ensuring application availability, and implementing IT security measures. You will set strategies for software engineering standards, lead the development of AI capabilities, and enhance the velocity of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Additionally, you will drive simplification across the technology stack and ensure operational excellence in service restoration.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 10+ years of work experience in IT systems analysis, design, application development, IT Operations, and tech leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in a Reliability Engineer, Multi Stack Engineer or Data Engineer role with Manager Accountabilities.
- Proven experience with FinOps.
- Strong communicator at all levels in the Enterprise.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in leading AI and ML Engineering organizations.
- Knowledge about the principles and practices of FMOps and LLMOps.
- Proven experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies.
- Certified in one or more of the following: AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solution Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
