GSK is seeking a Principal Scientist/Associate Director to join their Translational & Clinical Genetics team in Collegeville, PA. The role involves applying statistical and computational methods to analyze large-scale genetic and omics datasets to impact drug discovery and clinical development.
About the Role
As a Principal Scientist/Associate Director, you will apply state-of-the-art statistical and computational approaches to large-scale genetic, genomic, and clinical phenotypic datasets. You will communicate analysis findings to project teams, contribute to a culture of innovation, and stay informed about emerging technologies in translational genetics. Your work will support drug development and may involve collaborations with external institutions.
About You
Required:- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or bioinformatics.
- Experience in genetics and conducting analyses that integrate genetics, genomics, and clinical phenotypic data.
- Excellent programming skills in R or Python.
- Ability to assess and implement new methodologies in drug discovery and development.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.
Preferred:- Excellent collaboration skills to work with internal stakeholders.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams on impactful projects.
- Familiarity with the stages of drug discovery and development.
