Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves developing modeling and optimization programs for high-performance clock products and collaborating with various teams to enhance system design.
About the Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be part of the MSS-Timing Systems Engineering Team, responsible for high-speed PCB designs, mixed-signal circuit analysis, and developing algorithms to optimize circuit performance. You will work closely with firmware and software teams to integrate your programs and develop validation tests for silicon under development.
About You
Required:
- MSEE with 8 years of relevant experience or BSEE with 12 years of relevant experience.
- Good understanding of phase locked loops, control theory, and EM theory.
- Experience with chip definition, verification, and development in PLL and/or mixed products.
- Experience in developing sophisticated test methods with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Experience with high-speed PCB design and using industry-leading EDA tools.
Preferred:
- FPGA development experience.
- Experience with software application development for engineering analysis/design using Python/VB.
- Knowledge of Verilog and Verilog-AMS.
