Summary
Honeywell is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves assessing and driving program-specific performance within Honeywell Aerospace, partnering with engineering leaders to implement product strategies and improve engineering quality.
About the Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will manage resources supporting the program, ensure success across cross-functional tasks, maintain a rigorous project management system, mentor project engineering leads, manage customer scope, and execute programs within cost and schedule constraints. You will also be responsible for risk management and may require travel up to 10%.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of systems engineering experience in support of safety critical engine controller development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Preferred:
- Project engineering experience with APU products or other relevant complex mechanical systems.
- Experience leading or executing successful development efforts for an APU or other complex mechanical system.
- Experience with Control Systems or Controls & Accessories project engineering.
- A demonstrated track record in managing complex projects.
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage a cross-functional team in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills.
