About the Role
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of weather radar systems, from business development to product end of life. Your key responsibilities include designing applications, performing signal processing, developing algorithms for weather detection, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also interface with customers to ensure product designs meet operational requirements and drive customer satisfaction.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- 10 or more years in an engineering role.
- 5 years experience with Weather Radar.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge of pulse compression techniques to enhance radar system performance.
- Familiarity with dual polarization radar technology and data analysis methods.
- Proficiency in working with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems.
- Experience in applying AI/ML algorithms to optimize weather radar applications.
