Akumin® is seeking a PRN CT Technologist Float to join their team in Fleming Island, FL. The role involves ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies while communicating effectively with customers and training new staff.
About the Role
As a PRN CT Technologist Float, you will be responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections, and using aseptic injection techniques. You will produce high-quality diagnostic images, communicate effectively with customers and radiologists, train new technologists and Patient Coordinators, and troubleshoot the scanner and peripheral equipment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
- State license and licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
- CPR certification.
- Active State Driver’s License.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
Preferred:
- Certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
- Experience in training new staff.
