NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Procedures Director to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves planning and directing the activities of procedure writers for the Medicaid Assistance Program (MAP) and HomeCare Services Program (HCSP).
About the Role
As the Procedures Director, you will oversee the development and implementation of operational instructions for MAP/HCSP eligibility divisions, ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations. You will manage staff in creating procedural guides, coordinate with various departments for procedure implementation, and supervise the Procedures Clearance Desk. Additionally, you will be responsible for the publication of the MAP's monthly newsletter and the performance evaluation of subordinate staff.
About You
Required:
- A master's degree from an accredited college in a relevant field and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, management analysis, or related areas, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity.
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described above, including 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in management and supervision of staff.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Agency operations and NYS social service policy and procedures.
