AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Process Technician to join their team in Rochester, IN. The role involves performing quality inspections, setting up CMM probes, and addressing tooling issues.
About the Role
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing and replacing components on production tools, maintaining inventory, collaborating with vendors and engineers on tooling issues, performing tool measurements, operating CNC milling and other machinery, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. You will also be required to complete daily tooling reports and work with other functional groups to complete assigned tasks.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of related experience (less with additional specialized training and/or certification).
- Ability to use CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers, computers, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality documents.
