About the Role
As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, promoting corporate brands, and ensuring quality assurance standards. Your daily tasks will include preparing produce platters, informing customers of specials, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. You will also be expected to manage conflict, work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, and provide support to customers of all backgrounds.
About You
Required:
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
- Current food handlers permit once employed.
Preferred:
- Comparable retail experience.
- Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).
