About the Role
As a Producer for the Content Core team, you will be responsible for creating exclusive news content for various platforms, hunting and clearing user-generated content, confirming news, pitching story ideas, writing articles, and monitoring analytics to inform content decisions. You will support the logistics for the field team and assist with coordination internally and externally.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in journalism, either digital outlets, traditional linear newsrooms or on an assignment desk.
- Excellent news judgement, strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to utilize various content management, newsgathering, social media and collaboration tools.
Preferred:
- Extensive knowledge of news cycle.
- Social media savviness.
- Passion for weather news.
- Ability to work under deadline and pressure of a fast-paced newsroom.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights or early mornings.
