About the Role
As a Product Designer, you will work on user interfaces where users configure, monitor, and operate sophisticated robotic behaviors. Your responsibilities include creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, ensuring that complex system behaviors are clear and controllable. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to refine requirements and participate in user research to inform design decisions.
About You
Required:
- Strong user empathy, especially for users in constrained or high-stakes environments.
- Ability to reason about systems: states, flows, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- A portfolio that demonstrates thoughtful problem framing and depth.
Preferred:
- Experience designing complex products like developer tools, data tools, CAD software, or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with robotics, industrial automation, or hardware-software products.
- Experience working closely with engineers on technically constrained problems.
- Based in or near New York, or open to hybrid work.
