GForce Life Sciences is seeking a Product Development Engineer for a 12-month contract position on-site in Cary, IL. The role involves designing, validating, and bringing new medical device products to market.
About the Role
As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating new medical device products from concept through market launch. Your tasks will include specifying functional requirements, conducting testing to evaluate design effectiveness, and collaborating with internal teams and contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturability. You will utilize CAD and CAE systems to model designs and generate detailed engineering drawings.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of engineering experience in product development, preferably in the medical device industry.
Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools for design and modeling.
Strong knowledge of product testing, validation, and design-for-manufacturability principles.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate across functions.
