Summary
ProAmpac is seeking a Product Development Engineer I to join their team in Hanover Park, IL. The role involves leading design, development, testing, and execution of products in growth programs within the flexible packaging industry.
About the Role
As a Product Development Engineer I, you will assist in product commercialization projects, manage projects from start to finish, and evaluate changes to current products. You will be responsible for designing, controlling, and analyzing experiments, ensuring results are documented and published, and providing guidance to the Quality Department staff as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Packaging Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in technical service, process control, quality engineering, product development, or related fields.
Preferred:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in technical service, process control, quality engineering, or product development.
- Knowledge of adhesives, barrier properties/technology of materials, and lamination processes.
- Experience with CAD or SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with FDA requirements and ISO standards.
