Summary
Connecticut Innovations is seeking a Production Engineer to join their Hardware Team in Stamford, CT. The role involves overseeing production engineering execution across existing products and new hardware development.
About the Role
As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring reliable manufacturing output, disciplined new product introduction (NPI) launches, and continuous process improvement. You will travel domestically and internationally to support factory partners, evaluate and improve factory processes, troubleshoot production issues, and lead NPI efforts from concept through volume ramp.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years in production, manufacturing, or hardware engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience ramping electro-mechanical products into volume production.
- Minimum BSC in a related Science and/or Engineering discipline.
Preferred:
- Experience working directly with factories in the U.S. and Asia.
- Strong understanding of PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole), enclosure design, injection molding, and tooling.
- Experience supporting regulatory certification (FCC, CE, UL) and internal qualification programs.
