Summary
Stellantis is seeking a Professional Maintenance Manager, Paint to lead the maintenance department within the Paint Center in Detroit, MI. The role involves managing maintenance activities and ensuring the functionality and improvement of equipment.
About the Role
As a Professional Maintenance Manager, you will lead and develop the maintenance staff to eliminate top machine losses, provide technical support, analyze Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), define maintenance strategies, manage data collection processes, and support production processes including safety and quality. You will also manage the activities of maintenance area supervisors and skilled trades employees.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or journeyperson
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial automation maintenance experience, including some supervisory experience
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees
- Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
- Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
- Troubleshooting and programming experience in controls, robotics, drives, and system level communication systems
- Experience with machine, systems operation and integration
- Working knowledge of advanced technical problem-solving tools
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical/engineering field (i.e., BSME or BSEE)
- Previous experience working in a union environment
- Production/maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with Stellantis Production Way pillar methodology and implementation
- Seven or more years maintenance experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment
- Knowledge of welding processes (i.e. resistance spot welding)
- Experience with Control Net Networks, Device Net Networks, ABB
- Experience with RS Logic, PLC-5, Control Logics, Allen Bradley Drive Systems
- Experience with body shop, stamping press automation or subassemblies
- Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
