Summary
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore is seeking a Program Director for the Weinberg Park Heights JCC to lead programming and community engagement focused on children, families, and adults, with an emphasis on serving the Orthodox Jewish community.
About the Role
The Program Director will create, implement, and manage all programming aspects for the Weinberg Park Heights JCC, collaborate with other departments on arts, culture, sports, and wellness programs, organize Motzei Shabbos programming, oversee various programs including babysitting and youth activities, develop and supervise summer youth programming and large community events, attend operations meetings, liaise with marketing to ensure cultural sensitivity, educate staff on Jewish/Orthodox traditions, cultivate community partnerships, manage budgets, and contribute to JCC-wide events and initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Strong knowledge of traditional Jewish culture and the Park Heights Orthodox Jewish community.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in programming for children, youth, and/or adults including supervisory and budget management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage staff, members, community partners, and leadership.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture and take ownership of programs.
- Commitment to strategies aligning with the JCC's Mission and Vision.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Creativity and passion for program creation and implementation.
- Ability to liaise with Jewish organizations and communal leadership.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with diverse stakeholders.
