Summary
HDR is seeking a Project Accountant 2 to join their team in Chicago, IL. The role involves managing all facets of project and contract financial management, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and supporting project managers in delivering accurate financial data.
About the Role
As a Project Accountant 2, you will be responsible for processing project initiation packages, monitoring project execution, and ensuring timely billing and invoicing. You will collaborate with project managers and accounting teams to resolve financial issues and support project completion activities. Your role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records and compliance with HDR policies and federal standards.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience.
- Familiar with Earned Value Management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Project accounting experience highly desired.
- A/E/C experience highly desired.
- Oracle EBS/Hyperion experience is a plus.
- Positive leader, who is a team player that takes initiative to provide solutions.
