Summary
Fred Hutch is seeking a temporary Project Coordinator to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves coordinating administrative, research, and programmatic tasks in support of the Indigenous Cancer Health Excellence Initiative's objectives.
About the Role
As a temporary Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing project timelines, handling administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, note-taking, coordinating event details, and creating community-facing communication materials. You will report to the Project Manager for the Indigenous Cancer Health Excellence Initiative and work independently to support grant deliverables.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (BA/BS). Work experience can be substituted for education.
- Minimum of three years post-bachelor's or one year post-master's related project coordination experience in a research setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience managing multiple consecutive projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work within a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated excellent human relations, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Understanding and proven ability to work with communities experiencing health inequity.
- In-depth knowledge of health and social issues facing Indigenous populations.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working in public health, community health, health equity and/or health disparities research.
