Summary
BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer - Civil Land Development to join their team in Sacramento, CA. The role involves applying engineering principles to various land development projects, including residential and commercial developments.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and coordinating site development projects, preparing grading and drainage plans, designing utility systems, and collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. You will also mentor junior staff and provide technical support across all project phases.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in Land Development working on site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works projects.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Preferred:
- EIT certification highly preferred.
- Experience with sustainable design elements such as low-impact development (LID) and green infrastructure.
