Amentum is seeking a Project Engineer - Treadmill 2 to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves sustaining the Treadmill 2 aboard the International Space Station through hardware development, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer - Treadmill 2, you will be responsible for hardware development, manufacturing, and assembly of the Treadmill 2 (T2) on the ISS. Your tasks will include troubleshooting anomalies, processing crew workout data, performing hands-on hardware testing, and generating essential documentation. You will work closely with a team and report to the project manager, while also interacting with NASA System Managers and operational customers.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
- Experience with NASA/JSC Class I flight hardware process and certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with flight operations.
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering background.
- Familiarity with common hand tools for assembly and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analyses.
