Summary
AVI-SPL is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves overseeing the technical delivery of AV Integration projects, including documentation finalization and project implementation support.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing new projects, finalizing documentation such as the bill of materials and drawings, and providing guidance during project implementation. You will collaborate with project management, fabrication, and field teams to resolve technical questions and ensure project goals are met. Daily responsibilities include design finalization, project support, and field collaboration, requiring a proactive problem solver who can adapt to a fast-paced environment.
About You
Required:
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and deliver practical solutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills for designing, configuring, and operating AV equipment.
- Experience with DSP system programming and control system troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- Formal education in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
- AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist).
- Two (2) or more years of experience in AV system design, integration, or field support.
- Familiarity with AV/IT standards and emerging technologies such as AVoIP or unified communications platforms.
