The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Project Engineering Leader to join their team in Deer Park, TX. The role involves leading a team of engineers to take technical ownership of engineering projects from design to commissioning completion for a large chemical facility.
About the Role
As the Project Engineering Leader, you will passionately lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring a collaborative and productive environment. You will coach on stage gate processes, prioritize process safety, plan and execute large complex projects, and communicate project value to business leaders. Your responsibilities will also include leading design reviews, tracking project performance, identifying risks, and implementing quality assurance processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical.
- 5 or more years of experience in project engineering in chemical manufacturing and processing facilities.
- Experience managing individuals and teams.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple capital projects in industrial contexts.
Preferred:
- Experience working with cross-functional project teams, vendors, and construction contractors.
- Proficiency with CAD software, SAP, Microsoft Office, and documentation management.
- PMP certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE, CEng) certification.
