Summary
BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Manager - Civil Transportation Engineer to join their team in Long Beach, CA. The role involves leading transportation infrastructure projects and mentoring teams in a collaborative environment.
About the Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading design and project management for transportation infrastructure projects, coordinating permitting and technical studies, mentoring junior staff, and building strong client relationships. You will champion quality and innovation in transportation engineering while promoting BKF's services to regional clients.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
- 10 years of experience in transportation infrastructure, including design and project management of roadway, transit, or related civil projects.
- Strong background in transportation design, including roadway geometry, traffic control, grading, and utility coordination.
- Proven ability to lead planning studies, master plans, and infrastructure projects from concept through delivery and completion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated success in building client relationships and strategic positioning for project opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial drive to pursue new transportation projects and establish a local presence.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to win transportation infrastructure projects.
