About the Role
As a Property Appraiser, you will be responsible for appraising residential and personal property for tax billing purposes, conducting field inspections, gathering and recording data affecting values, and preparing detailed records for calculating appraised values. You will also audit financial records of businesses for accuracy, determine compliance with policies, and respond to formal appeals related to property valuations.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, construction, business, or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in property evaluation, appraisal, or assessment.
- Must obtain Appraiser II certification within a year of hire.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
Preferred:
- Experience with state and local laws pertaining to property assessments and appraisals.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and report generation.
