About the Role
As a Psychiatrist in the ACT program, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment, including prescribing and managing medications. You will perform home and community visits to deliver care directly to clients, assess clients at least monthly, and participate in daily team meetings to review client needs. The role also includes providing crisis intervention, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (or must obtain during eligibility period) and completion of a residency training program.
- Active Maryland medical license with Controlled Substances Registration and valid DEA Certificate.
- Ability to perform psychiatric assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care.
- Strong therapeutic communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred:
- Minimum two years of clinical experience preferred, including work with acute psychiatric patients.
- Expertise in psychotropic medications and comprehensive knowledge of mental health treatment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and foster a supportive work environment.
