About the Role
As a Public Health Prevention Specialist I, you will be responsible for administrative support in the DSHS field office, maintaining referral lists, managing confidential records, and communicating with clients about available services. You will also schedule appointments, manage vaccine distribution, and participate in community health initiatives. The position requires collaboration with clinic team members and active participation in public health education programs.
About You
Required:
Graduation from an accredited Associate's degree program in public health or a related field, or at least one year of experience in public health or a healthcare environment.
Must have a valid class C Texas driver's license or equivalent from another state.
Preferred:
Certified Community Health Worker (CHW).
Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
