Summary
JLG Industries is seeking a Purchasing Associate to join their team in Hagerstown, MD. The role is an entry-level position focused on supporting the purchasing and supply chain department.
About the Role
As a Purchasing Associate, you will coordinate purchasing activities, process purchase orders, develop reports for order management, interface with suppliers, conduct price analytics, and participate in supplier business reviews. You will also support supplier readiness for product launches and participate in supply chain optimization initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Ability to travel 25%.
Preferred:
- Internship experience or previous experience in supply chain.
- Purchasing experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
