Check Point Software is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team in San Jose, CA. The role involves managing end-to-end indirect purchasing services and negotiating with suppliers.
About the Role
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will act as a purchasing partner for employees and customers across various departments in Canada, the US, and Latin America. Your responsibilities will include analyzing internal purchasing requirements, enforcing company policies, and communicating with external suppliers to negotiate business terms and understand complex contracts. You will also be expected to meet SLA deadlines while producing quality work.
About You
Required:
- 0-1 years purchasing, negotiation, and project management experience.
- Strong MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) skills, including data analytics.
- Outstanding customer service orientation and skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with creating and processing purchases through ERP (preferably SAP).
- Work experience in a global company.
- Financial understanding of Cost Centers, GLs, CapEx, OpEx, and Quarterly Budgeting.
