Summary
LANXESS is seeking a Quality Control Lab Supervisor to lead their QC Laboratory in Kalama, WA. The role involves providing leadership and technical oversight for laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
About the Role
As a Quality Control Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading daily QC laboratory operations, reviewing and approving analytical data, troubleshooting analytical issues, developing and implementing laboratory methods, and training QC staff. You will also manage laboratory staffing, support budgeting and inventory management, and participate in audits.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Chemistry or Data Science preferred).
- 5–10 years of relevant QC or laboratory experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
- Hands-on experience handling chemicals and following laboratory-scale procedures.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred:
- Experience with instrumental analysis (GC, FTIR, spectrometry).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems, FSSC 22000 food safety management systems, food and pharmaceutical cGMPs.
- SAP experience.
