About the Role
As a Radiation Safety Technician 3, you will be responsible for monitoring radiological work controls, processing radioactive shipments, conducting area surveys, and ensuring the safe handling and disposal of radioactive materials. You will also develop and implement radiation safety procedures, provide training to junior staff, and respond to incidents involving radionuclides.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a radiation safety technician.
- Detailed knowledge of local, state and federal radiation safety compliance regulations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT) certification.
