Summary
County of Maui is seeking a Recreation Aide (SR-07) to join their team in Wailuku, HI. The role involves performing a variety of tasks in the maintenance and operation of recreation facilities and assisting in the conduct of athletic, cultural, social, and recreational activities.
About the Role
As a Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, keeping records of attendance, setting up and breaking down areas for scheduled activities, checking for safety hazards, controlling materials and equipment, and assisting in various recreational activities. You will also perform clerical and custodial duties as assigned.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Experience involving the supervision and/or coordination of group activities, preferably in recreation and/or athletic programs.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of recreation equipment and rules of popular games and sports.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with the public.
