About the Role
As a Recreation Assistant (Fitness), you will provide customer service to patrons, manage facility access, handle cash transactions, assist in planning and publicizing activities, oversee retail sales, evaluate fitness programs, and monitor events. You will also assist in selecting fitness and aquatics activities based on participant interests.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge of MWR policies, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certification (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Automated External Defibrillator Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Blood-borne Pathogen Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Navy Basic Fitness Certification (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
Preferred:
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling procedures.
- Skill in Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
