About the Role
As a Recreation Assistant - Lifeguard, you will supervise patrons at the pool, monitor water activities, enforce safety rules, perform rescues, conduct chemical testing, and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the aquatic facilities. You will also serve as a liaison during emergencies and provide introductory equipment orientations.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge of pool and waterfront safety rules.
- Skill in lifesaving techniques to perform safe and efficient rescue operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of the goals, principles, techniques, and procedures used in organizing and conducting fitness and aquatics activities.
- Ability to assess and provide instruction on swimming skills and water safety to various age groups.
