Personnel Board of Jefferson County is seeking a Recreation Leader to join their team in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama Area. The role involves developing and implementing recreational programs and managing recreational facilities.
About the Role
As a Recreation Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating recreation programs, activities, and special events for diverse groups of patrons. Your daily tasks will include inspecting facilities, maintaining equipment, and developing community relationships to promote activities at the recreation center.
About You
Required:
Driver's license.
Experience assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of recreation programs and activities.
Experience coordinating with volunteers and/or part-time employees involved in recreational programs/activities.
Experience using computer software to create marketing materials for recreational programs/activities.
Preferred:
First Aid/CPR Certification.
Certified Pool Operator.
Associate's degree or higher in Sports and Recreation Management, Parks and Recreation Management, Physical Education, or a highly related field.
Experience setting up playfields for a variety of sports.
Experience working in a pool setting.
