About the Role
As a Recreation Specialist – Welcome Team Services, you will be responsible for assisting with front desk operations, providing community resource materials, maintaining a safe environment for participants, and promoting programs to the community. You will work under the supervision of the Recreation Program & Facility Coordinator and must thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience working with the public and providing customer service.
- Cash handling experience.
- Previous experience working with youth and teens.
Preferred:
- 21 years of age or older.
- Coursework or training leading to a college degree in Recreation, Education, Human Services, or related field.
- Previous experience overseeing seasonal staff.
- Experience in data management and data entry.
- Knowledge of Teen Zone activity policies.
- Two years of cash handling experience.
- Experience using Rec Trac scheduling software.
- Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Lao, or Vietnamese.
