About You
- CTRS, RTC, ATR, or CBMT certification.
- Current BLS for healthcare provider card upon hire.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years or more experience in a healthcare field, preferably inpatient psychiatric.
- Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment.
- Flexibility and teaching or training skills.
- Understanding of DSM-III R methodology.

Aurora Charter Oak Behavioral Health Care is located on 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds in Covina, California. We have been providing mental health and substance abuse treatment services at this same location since 1941. Covina is about 22 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in the San Gabriel Valley. The San Gabriel Mountains provide a stunning backdrop to our campus, which includes Aurora Charter Oak Hospital and the Charter Oak Recovery Center. Our campus includes three separate buildings featuring eight separate units for adolescents and adults requiring inpatient care, a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), an Outpatient Services building, and an Assessment Center which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our campus also includes a pool and a gymnasium.
