Summary
Seen Health is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join their team in Alhambra, CA. The role involves coordinating, planning, supervising, and implementing therapeutic and recreational programs for the elderly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
About the Role
As a Recreational Therapist, you will evaluate the needs of elderly participants and develop engaging group and individual activities to enhance their cognitive, physical, social, and artistic well-being. You will document participant engagement outcomes, oversee daily activities, organize community outings, and maintain a calendar of events. Additionally, you will provide leisure education and coordinate with the PACE Interdisciplinary Team to create comprehensive care plans.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - upon hire.
- Valid CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Proficient computer skills, with experience documenting in Electronic Health Record system preferred.
Preferred:
- Two years' experience in a social or recreational program providing services for the frail or elderly within a health care setting.
- Fluency in English Mandarin or Cantonese strongly preferred.
- BLS certification - upon hire.
