JPS Health Network is seeking a Recreational Therapist to join their Behavioral Health team at Trinity Springs Pavilion for Psychiatric Services in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves providing recreational therapy services to adult patients, including group and individual activities, assessments, and participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning.

About the Role

The Recreational Therapist develops, organizes, and provides group recreation and activity services such as psycho-educational and living skills groups to adult patients. They provide individual recreation therapy as ordered by physicians, participate in treatment planning and team meetings, document services and assessments, maintain clinical competence, participate in performance improvement and committees, manage therapy supplies and equipment, and perform other related duties.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in a human services field (recreational therapy, music therapy, or art therapy) or Bachelor's Science degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
At least 1 year of experience performing recreation and/or activity therapy in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) from the Consortium for Therapeutic Recreation/Activities Certification Inc. for Texas or National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification, Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), or licensure by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Certification in Non-Aggressive Crisis Management (to be obtained during orientation and maintained).
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Preferred:

2 or more years of experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
1 or more years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
