About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for patient assessment, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and educating patients and families. You will also assist providers in procedures, ensure patient safety, and participate in discharge planning. The role requires adherence to hospital policies and participation in emergency preparedness and infection control measures.
About You
Required:
- Current NYS license to perform as a registered professional nurse.
- Current BLS-CPR certification required (or within first 30 days of employment).
- Entry level-graduate per Education requirements.
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred (i.e. ICU, Maternity, Psych).
- Specialty Unit - Maternity – Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Specialty Unit – ICU- ACLS within 6 months of hire.
