About the Role
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will evaluate, treat, and manage patients with respiratory issues, participate in clinical decision-making, and document care provided. You will initiate and update respiratory care plans, monitor patient responses, and provide education to patients and families. The role also includes participation in life-support activities and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
About You
Required:
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Associate Degree or higher in an approved CoARC program for Respiratory Care
- Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registry Eligible with RRT credential obtained within 1 year of graduation
- 0 to 3 years of post-graduate experience
Preferred:
- American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Experience in pediatric respiratory care if working in a children's hospital
- Completion of the NBRC NPS exam within 12 months from orientation end date
