About the Role
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for managing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, implementing evidence-based protocols, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. You will work in diverse patient care locations including emergency departments and intensive care units, addressing the needs of various patient populations.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification.
- Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.
- Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA.
- Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the AHA.
