Summary
UW Health is seeking a Registry Oncology Data Specialist to join their team in a fully remote position. The role involves reviewing cancer cases, determining treatment details, and maintaining the integrity of the registry database.
About the Role
As a Registry Oncology Data Specialist, you will review newly identified cases of malignancies and benign tumors for reportability, determine treatment courses, and assign appropriate codes for cancer care procedures. You will also ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data submitted to meet department quality benchmarks.
About You
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Cancer Information Management (CIM) or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of healthcare experience involving cancer data abstraction or a cancer-related field.
Preferred:
- 3 years of healthcare experience involving cancer data abstraction or a cancer-related field.
- Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification upon hire.
