Xona Space Systems is seeking a Regulatory Engineer to join their team in Burlingame, CA. The role involves supporting spectrum coordination with federal and international entities to advance Xona's satellite infrastructure strategy.
About the Role
As a Regulatory Engineer, you will participate in ITU study groups and other regulatory bodies to enable and protect Xona's use of radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits. You will engage with various teams to communicate spectrum and regulatory considerations related to system objectives.
About You
Required:
5+ years of experience in a regulatory environment.
Bachelor's degree in electrical, systems, or aerospace engineering.
Foundational knowledge of communications satellite architectures, link budget, orbit dynamics, and relevant regulatory bodies such as the ITU and FCC.
Effective communicator in both written and verbal forms for policy and complex technical problems.
Ability to quickly identify and assess tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred:
Experience in satellite regulation.
Experience with RNSS frequency band.
