BNY is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Analyst (contract) to join their Capital Markets Accounting team in New York, NY. The role supports regulatory capital and financial reporting obligations for a full-service securities broker dealer.
About the Role
As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will assist in the preparation of daily net capital calculations and weekly customer reserve reports, track daily trading activity, contribute to regulatory filings, perform month-end reconciliations, prepare journal entries, conduct capital analysis, support audit requests, and collaborate with various teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
About You
Required:
- 5–12 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting concepts.
- Experience with broker dealer regulatory reporting (SEC 15c3-1 and 15c3-3 preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex data aggregation).
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance concentration preferred).
Preferred:
- Direct experience preparing daily net capital and customer reserve reports.
- Regulatory capital reporting expertise.
- Experience designing financial models and accounting processes.
- MBA, CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
- PowerPoint experience for management presentations.
