Summary
SAIC is seeking a Remote Pilot Operator to join their Controller Training Solutions team in Hapeville, GA. The role involves simulating pilot actions and communications in air traffic controller training exercises.
About the Role
As a Remote Pilot Operator (RPO), you will operate a simulated radar display and voice communication system to replicate the actions and communications of pilots and air traffic control facilities during training exercises. You will receive voice commands from students, input data into the automated system, and respond using proper ATC terminology. The position requires completion of specific certifications related to airspace and procedures.
About You
Required:
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals, and communicate clearly.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification in ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation lab.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with FAAO JO 7110.65.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Basic knowledge of current technological tools and pilot/controller communications.
